Maze of Muertos

Maze of Muertos is one of the most intriguing Yu-Gi-Oh! booster sets released in 2026. The set brings a mix of fresh mechanics, anime-inspired cards, and nostalgic callbacks – all packaged in Konami’s usual 7-card booster format (six rares and one foil per booster pack). Inspired by Bonz's Duelist Kingdom deck, Yu-Gi-Oh! Maze of Muertos leans into the graveyard theme, and Pumpking the King of Ghosts finally gets his moment, leading the charge alongside revamped Zombies, Spells and Traps.

Maze of Muertos ties back into the anime and manga, and you’ll find cards inspired by characters like Darkuriboh and Dark Magician of Destruction, as well as powerful classic Dragons like Timaeus the United Magical Dragon (another fusion monster), reimagined for modern play. With serious firepower for Zombie Duelists, Yu-Gi-Oh! Maze of Muertos includes support for Dark Magician, HERO, and Mikanko strategies. The Mikanko archetype continues to build momentum with Sanaki the Mikanko Devotee and Uzuhime the Manifested Mikanko, an Xyz Monster that adds more explosive plays to the strategy. 

Alongside Pumpking and his eerie entourage, expect Maze of Muertos cards such as Deadly Zombie Breath to support Zombie-themed strategies. Ectoplasmic Fortification returns with upgraded effects that boost your Zombies' Attack Points and let you draw cards for every Call of the Haunted you control.
