Mansions of Madness is a co-operative board game set in the ever-popular Eldritch horror and Elder Sign universe. What really stands out about this game is the app-driven ‘games master’ that allows you to focus on the most important part of the game of actually playing and removes all the tedious parts.

During your investigations through the spooky streets of Innsmouth and mysterious cursed mansions of Arkham, you attempt to get to the bottom of several strange occurrences. If you’re brave enough, you can play the game solo, but it’s best when played with 2-4 friends which will give you a greater chance to unmask the truth!

The toughest choice in the game may well be which of the eight brave investigators you would like to play as, with each investigator getting their own abilities and strengths. For example, you can play as Preston Fairmont, the filthy rich millionaire who just loves to seize more possessions (and gets a benefit when he does!) or the nimble athlete Rita Young, who can move an additional space each round, something that always comes in handy when running away from things that go bump in the night. The base game provides you with four scenarios to tackle, along with all the items you will need during your quest, such as weapons, tools and spells. However, it’s not all sunshine and roses, you can also expect to come across monsters, puzzles, insanity and even death.

With the app controlling all the bits ‘behind the scenes’, the game has hours and hours of reliability due to random event occurrences, but if you are left wanting more, you are in luck! There have been five major expansions, Beyond the Threshold, Streets of Arkham, Sanctum of Twilight, Horrific Journeys and Path of the Serpent, all transporting you to various locations and new scenarios, giving you hours and hours more fun and investigating! Mansions of Madness can take anywhere between 1-3 hours to play each scenario so it is perfect to play in one sitting with your closest friends this Halloween.

What happens when you mix ferocious werewolves, blood-sucking vampires, your average joe and a thrilling social deduction party game? Fangs: Werewolves vs Vampires vs Humans! At the start of this party game made for 5-8 players, you are secretly dealt a character that belongs to one of three teams: Werewolves, Vampires or Humans. The Werewolves and Vampires main goal is to destroy each other, while the humans are just trying to stay out of it! The main kicker, you don’t know who is your ally or who is your enemy, so trust absolutely no one.

Throughout the game you must start trying to deduce who is friend or foe by gathering information, trying to find new equipment to help you in your quest, or try to harm (or aid) another player. A quick attack may lead to an early advantage but it can also lead to a broken friendship when you find out they were actually your ally all along.
