Our Community Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition Winners
Posted by Magic Madhouse on 4th Nov 2026
In celebration of Halloween, here at Magic Madhouse, we hosted a pumpkin carving contest across Facebook, X/Twitter, Instagram, and Discord.
We promised contests £25 out of a £100 prize pool. We saw all sorts of great entrants, wih many desings from Pokémon, to Comic Book Heroes. The selection process was tricky, but in the end we were able to narrow it down to the selected four winners.
Continuing our Halloween tradition, here at Magic Madhouse we held Pumpkin Carving competition across Facebook, X (formerly known as Twitter), Instagram, and Discord.
We asked you to share some of your Halloween excitement with us! At the start of Autumn we sent out the call! Share your photos of your most daring Jack-o'-lantern designs and some lucky few would be in with a chance of winning a gift card to get themselves a little treat! With many entrees that stood out from a Hunting Hawkmoth, many Ghost-type Pokémon to some iconic pop culture visages, we did not have an easy job selecting some lucky winners!
In no particular order here’s some glowing grinning gourds...
The Winners are:
Frog on Discord
Frog's pumpkins are a great silhouette of some of the most iconic purple Pokémon. Placed outside and with some skeletal fibulas on show ready to make friends with their streets’ trick or treaters!
Cheese Toast on Discord
Be prepared to ring the bell of the Pink Palace Apartments! Cheese Toast went for the titular character from stop motion dark fantasy film Coraline in their family carving session, the full spread featured above!
wxsteyrself on Discord
Truly a showstopper in DIY projects from our Discord, wxsteyrself's franken-lanterns recreate Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist, the Pumpkin Pokémon! With eyes that glow, be weary if you catch either of these creations wandering through town at the new moon!
In dedication to the craft, wxsteyrself also shared some work in progress pictures that are almost as impressive as the final results themselves!
@scottknight93 on Instagram
Continuing the Ghost-type Pokémon trend, Scott has made an intricate stencil fitting three classic Ghost types onto one pumpkin! This glowing carving feels like it would easily be sighted at the base of Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town.
Combining a careful hand while using a blend of carving and skinning their chosen design, the details of this Ghastly design really shine through.
No tricks, treats or trading needed to fill out your Pokédex of with these three classic Ghosts this Halloween.
At Magic Madhouse we're fans too! To celebrate with us and be in the know for future competitions and to stay up-to-date with trading card news, be sure to follow us on socials. If you want to connect with other fans, try checking out our Discord, where we had the most people sharing their creepy carvings this year!
