MTG Reality Fracture Card List: Every Card and the Standout Picks

Reality Fracture is the latest Standard MTG release, landing 2 October 2026. Set in the ‘Echoverse’ (an alternative Arcavios, the plane of Strixhaven), it features alternative versions of players’ favourite characters and spells with a fully legal set and an accompanying Commander deck. What Is Reality Fracture? The Echoverse in Brief

Jace – everyone’s favourite (or least favourite) planewalker – is up to his tricks again and has created the Echoverse, a new reality with alternative versions of your favourite characters and spells. He’s created an alternative Arcavios where students attend ‘Hexhaven’ rather than Strixhaven.

Jace – now ‘The Theorist’ – has made his vision of a perfected Multiverse into a reality, a world free of Nicol Bolas, the Eldrazi, and Phyrexia. As Jace's creation takes shape and threatens to overtake the Multiverse, his former allies must take him on.

So let’s put reality aside and delve deeper into the cards.

The Reality Fracture Card List

Aside from being an alternative reality, MTG Reality Fracture has everything you’d expect from a Standard legal set. One unique feature to be aware of, however, is the series of ‘echoed pairs’. Every Play and Collector Booster contains an echoed pair, one representing the Multiverse we know, and the other representing the opposite Echoverse. Each (with apparently one exception) depicts the same character, showing how their life could have gone in Jace’s reality.

Standout Cards to Watch

I’m calling it now, this will be one of, if not THE, most desired sets of the year. The legendaries in the set seem plentiful, varied, and powerful, and collectors are going to love the alternative versions of iconic characters. Let’s look at some of the top cards revealed so far:

The Theorist, Jace Beleren – this Jace looks insane to me. Its static ability draws cards all by itself, leaving you free to create tokens or bouncing permanents. A must for control decks

Liliana the Faultless / Liliana the Repentant – the white Liliana is just one mana and is like a Mother of Runes and Soul Warden in one, and I love the discard ability as a nod to black reanimation. The black version is both a mill engine and a reanimator, which is both typically black and pairs really well with the white version

Chandra, Chill of Compliance – wow, four abilities on a three mana planeswalker! This is going to see play in all kinds of decks

Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance / Titanbones, Towering Heart – Tinybones, Pocket Nuisance is what we have come to expect from the little skeleton, it makes opponent’s discard, plus with a neat and game-ending drain to go with it. Titanbones is a perfect reflection, a big fella that gains life on discard instead!

Reality Fracture Standout Cards at a Glance

Special Treatments: Echoed Pairs, Shattered Mirror and More

MTG Reality Fracture lends itself perfectly to some gorgeous treatments, both because of the ‘mirror’ and ‘reflection’ themes, but also the sheer amount of iconic characters in unique forms. There are 30 Echoed borderless pairs and 13 Shattered Mirror cards which, as you’d imagine, look like a broken reflection. To add to the mind-melting theme, there are 23 Braintwister borderless cards to show the uncertainty of this twisted reality, as well as 10 Japanese Showcase cards. Lastly, there are 500 copies of a serialised Bloodline Recollector for the super lucky!

Reflections and Prepare

Just like Planar Chaos back in the day, a major theme of the set is the ‘colourshifted’ (reflections) nature of it, showing cards, or very similar versions, in other colours for the first time. And while we don’t know all the mechanics, we’ve seen a few cards that give us clues. There’s lifegain in white, some +1/+1 counters in green, what looks like mill in blue/black and perhaps artifact tokens in red/green. We’ve also seen the return of ‘Prepared’ which is exciting, rewarding early game set up for big rewards later.
