After more than two amazing years, the Scarlet and Violet era of the Pokémon TCG has come to an end although there is one last product all the fans of this game are awaiting that is due to be released in just a few weeks, the Pokémon Prismatic Evolutions Premium Figure Collection! If you're a fan of Pokémon, you already know that this Collection is more than just a box, it's the perfect way to celebrate the era that is ending and the best set released this year, Prismatic Evolutions.

What’s in the Premium Figure Collection and why it is so good?

Pokémon Premium Figure Collections are special boxed sets that includes (at least) a detailed, high-quality figure of a featured Pokémon, along with several Booster Packs and usually other collectible items. These collections are typically released for very special events or at the end of an era in the TCG as it happened for example for the Zacian and Zamazenta Collection that came out to celebrate the end of Sword and Shield. The Premium Figure Collections are therefore pretty rare and highly collectible as all the celebration items.

Prismatic Evolutions Premium Figure Collection is even more appealing than past similar collection as it does not feature a single Pokémon but two, Umbreon and Espeon! The theme of this collection is not only exciting because is centred around two of the most beloved evolutions of Eevee but also because they are featured together. This means that both Espeon and Umbreon are therefore depicted together in the display-ready figure and the collectible enamel pin featured in the collection making these great products to have. The Pokémon company could have easily created two separated boxes as they did for Zacian and Zamazenta but having a dual-Pokémon Collection is an amazing and very cool idea.

Together with the figure and the pin, the premium collection is also filled with amazing products for every player and collector:

  • 11 Scarlet & Violet Prismatic Evolutions booster packs;
  • 1 full-art etched foil promo cards featuring Espeon ex
  • 1 full-art etched foil promo cards featuring Umbreon ex
  • 65 themed card sleeves themed (obviously) around Espeon and Umbreon.

Espeon and Umbreon: Figure, Pin and Promo Cards

As mentioned in the official Pokémon website, the Premium Collection brings the fans both the Sun Pokémon, Espeon, and Moonlight Pokémon, Umbreon. The display figure itself is gorgeous and it look very dynamic with the two Pokémon posing together. On the other hand, the pin shows a much cuter side of the two Pokémon and I would expect every couple will love to have matching ones.

The collectability of the Premium collection does not just end at the figure and pin as also the Promo cards included in the set are expected to be quite in demand. From a gameplay point of view, Umbreon ex is definitely the most interesting one due to its second attack, Onyx, that allows the Player to take a prize card by discarding all energies on the Pokémon. While this attack may not deal any damage, it can create a very efficient winning strategy if used in combination with cards and strategies that can add more energies on Umbreon ex. Umbreon ex can also go on the offensive side by using its Moon Mirage attack, which does 160 damage and confuses the opponent's active Pokémon creating a very versatile option in your deck.

Espeon ex, on the other hand, focuses on disrupting the opponent's strategy by using two main abilities. Its fist attack, Psych Out, deals 160 damage and forces the opponent to discard a random card from their hand. The main reason to use this attack is to damage or knock-out your opponent's active Pokémon but with a bit of luck you will also be able to force them to also discard a Supporter card or the evolution they wanted to play the turn. Espeon's second attack, Amazez, is even more disrupting as it devolves all the opponent's evolved Pokémon by shuffling their highest Stage Evolution card back into their deck. This attach is a bit more situational than the previous one but I think we will be seeing this card more frequently in competitive decks, in particular now that the Mega Evolutions are coming back to the game.

When Will It Release and How to Get It?

After being announced in July, the wait is almost finally over as the Prismatic Evolutions Premium Figure Collection is set to release on the 26th of September. Considering this box features two of the most popular Eeveelutions in a single box and that comes with 11 packs for one of the most sought-after set of 2025, it is not hard to believe this product will sell-out fast. Most of the retailers will be likely limiting the purchases to one per customer, thus you don’t want to wait long to secure yours by pre-ordering it at Magic Madhouse if you haven't done it yet. And if you haven't been able to secure yours, make sure to keep an eye on the main Pokémon session of the website and to sign-up to get stock notifications as more stock may be made available later
