Azeroth Collides With the Forgotten Realms in This Upcoming D&D Warcraft Crossover

Azeroth Collides With the Forgotten Realms in This Upcoming D&D Warcraft Crossover

Posted by Magic Madhouse on 31st Jul 2026

In November this year, World of Warcraft is going to step off the screen and into reality, thanks to an upcoming crossover with Dungeons and Dragons. The new "World of Warcraft D&D Gameplay Expansion Book" will allow players of the world's most popular tabletop roleplaying game to recreate their character from the iconic online RPG and go on quests around Azeroth, with their friends from the comfort of their table.

There's also an adventure map pack that lovingly recreates the Ice Crown Citadel raid from WOW, and a Dungeon Master Screen that provides a panoramic shot of some of Azeroth's most well known locales from Orgrimmar to Stormwind.

Let's take a look at the four products that will be released in this MMO themed expansion pack to Dungeons and Dragons...

The World of Warcraft D&D Gameplay Expansion Book is your tool to step through the Dark Portal and bring your adventures from Azeroth straight into reality.

It features...

  • New rules for building characters in all 13 of World of Warcraft's classes from Death Knights to Demon Hunters.
  • 16 New playable species including starfaring Draenei, mighty Taurens, and jovial Pandarens.
  • 7 of World of Warcraft's deadliest dungeons recreated to be experienced as tabletop adventures.
  • 50+ new monster stat blocks, and 30 formidable dungeon bosses to fight.
  • Troves of new magical items, and factions to earn favour with drawn directly from Azeroth.

Whether you intend to recreate your online adventures or chart a new course for yourself, this expansion book is what you'll need to unlock a sweeping vista of Warcraft themed quests.

You can also grab a collector's edition variant of the book, which comes in a special slipcase, and features a deluxe sculpted foiling treatment to make sure its front and back covers really shine.

The slipcase, and the collector's edition book itself, are branded with the insignias of both the Alliance and the Horde, so whichever side of Warcraft's biggest conflict you find yourself on, you'll be able to display your allegiance proudly.

Plot out your adventures in style with this limited edition book of quests.

When it comes to famous raids from World of Warcraft, nothing can compare to the Icecrown Citadel. The frozen fortress of the Lich King has been entombing ill fated adventurers in ice for almost two decades now, ever since it was first added to the game in 2008.

The Icecrown Citadel Adventure Map Pack allows you to strike at the twisted necrotic heart of the scourge, in an epic adventure for level 16-20 adventurers.

This icy collection features 5 double sided poster maps that will take you from the lowest halls of the citadel, right up to the Frozen Throne.

You'll also find tokens and stat blocks for the bosses and enemies you'll encounter along the way, as well as a treasure trove of magical items, including Frostmourne, the Lich King's accursed runeblade

Not only that, but there's also a code inside each pack, unlocking digital versions of the assets inside for use online on D&D beyond.

Treasure and adventure await, if you can brave the coldest reaches of Northrend.

Every good Dungeon Master needs a screen to conceal their notes from prying eyes, and to guard the results of their rolls from nosy players. This Warcraft themed DM screen can do that job admirably, and it also provides a visual tour of the conflict ridden realms of Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms, from the blasted lands to Thunder Bluff.

Not only does this Warcraft themed Dungeon Master screen safeguard your plans, but it also has a collection of useful notes and tables on its inner side to ensure that you're always armed with the information that you need to keep your adventures in Azeroth proceeding smoothly.
