Mice of Legend: Shadowdark - Perils of Portal Lake Setting Guide

Bring Your Party Into the Mouse World—And Back Again

Unlike most mouse-themed RPG settings, Mice of Legend is built around a complete round-trip campaign. Characters begin in their own world before being transformed into mice and drawn into the mysterious realm of Portal Lake. There they must survive predators, navigate rival factions, uncover ancient mysteries, and ultimately discover a path home.

Because the setting is fully compatible with Shadowdark RPG, Game Masters can bring an existing adventuring party into the mouse world, run an entire campaign there, and return those characters to their original world forever changed by the experience.

A Fantasy World from a Mouse's Perspective

Portal Lake is not a world of anthropomorphic animal kingdoms. Cats are predators. Owls hunt from the darkness. Rivers become deadly obstacles. A simple farm can become an unexplored wilderness. Every journey carries risk when you stand only inches tall.

The Perils of Portal Lake Campaign Guide provides everything needed to run adventures in this dangerous and richly detailed world.
