STALKER: The Board Game is a fully co-op, story-based “zone” crawler. It is set in an alternative version of the Chernobyl nuclear plant exclusion zone, full of anomalies, relics, mutants, and dark secrets.
The Personal Stories optional add-on delves deeper into the Stalkers' stories, offering diverse tasks that reveal their motivations, haunted pasts, and personal desires. Meeting special requirements unlocks a veteran status for the character. While not necessary to enjoy the main story campaign or Zone survival mode, it enriches the background narratives of the available characters, providing additional depth and insight.
