Gameplay and Strategy in Magic Market
Magic Market is a game of buying and selling where you deal in magical objects. Be a smart salesperson by remembering what each visitor wants, sell them the objects, and visit other players' tables. When the clock hits five, the market closes, and the person with the most Dragos wins the game.
Rules for Your Turn
On your turn, there are three steps:
Roll the move die – and turn the visitors path disc to the left as many stars as your roll shows.
Choose a visitor pawn and lift it up – the symbol underneath will show you which type of magical object this visitor wants to buy. Show it to everyone. There are three different kinds of visitors: buyers, crazy buyers, and buddies, each with different needs.
Take the visitors action – if they are a buyer, and you have the object that matches the symbol, roll the price die to determine how many Dragos you will receive. Buddies will take care of your table so you can go and make purchases.
You will need to buy off your neighbours by offering them Dragos for their products, and you will need to buy a certain number of objects from each player before the end of the game.
Ending the Magic Market Session
End of the game: when the hand on the clock reaches five, the market closes. Players check if they have bought the correct amount of objects from other players. All players then count their money and the player with the most Dragos wins the game.
