The Player's Guide is a convenient 32-page softcover introduction to the setting, handy for creating characters, immersing players in Alternate Appalachia, and referencing often-used information without passing the Core Rulebook around the table. For full rules and character creation, however, a copy of the Core Rulebook is still required.
